Priyanka Chopra has confirmed that she is set to collaborate with Angelina Jolie on an upcoming project, although details of the project remain under wraps.
The actor revealed the development during an interview, confirming she would be working with the Academy Award-winning star. However, she did not specify whether the project is a feature film, commercial campaign or philanthropic initiative.
Speaking about her career and influences, Priyanka named Angelina Jolie, Penélope Cruz and Salma Hayek among her close friends and sources of inspiration, crediting them as figures who have shaped her international journey.
Reflecting on her evolution from Bollywood star to a prominent figure in Hollywood, Priyanka spoke about the creative freedom she now enjoys in selecting and developing projects.
“When I started, scripts were not customised for me,” she said.
She added that she is now in a position to choose projects and create her own opportunities from the ground up.
Despite her success in Hollywood, Priyanka continues to work on major Indian productions. She is currently completing the final stages of filming for SS Rajamouli’s action-adventure film ‘Varanasi’.
Describing the production as both “furious and funny”, she said the film is being made on a scale rarely seen before and is intended for a global audience.
‘Varanasi’ is scheduled for release in April 2027. Priyanka’s upcoming slate also includes a survival thriller alongside Orlando Bloom and Mira Nair’s biographical drama ‘Amri’.
