Global star Priyanka Chopra is set to be honoured at the fifth edition of the Gold Gala, organised by Gold House, scheduled for May 9 this year.
The non-profit collective announced that Priyanka will receive the Global Vanguard Honor, while martial arts legend Jet Li and actor Simu Liu will be presented with the Gold Legend Honor and Gold Mogul Honor respectively. Other honourees include Charles Melton, Eileen Gu, and Revathi Advaithi.
Gold House shared the announcement on its official Instagram account, describing the gala as a major global gathering of Asian Pacific leaders. “What began as a community milestone has become the definitive worldwide Asian Pacific cultural convening; and this year, it goes even further,” the organisation said.
The 2026 edition will centre on the theme “A New Gold World,” focusing on building shared progress in a divided global landscape, with over 650 leaders expected to attend.
The evening will feature a monologue by Bowen Yang, while actors Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh and Poorna Jagannathan will open the second half. Singer Hayley Kiyoko is also set to perform, with speakers including Theresia Gouw and others.
A former Miss World winner, Priyanka is married to American singer-actor Nick Jonas. She has remained active in Hollywood in recent years, balancing acting and production roles. In 2025, she appeared in Heads of State and The Bluff, also serving as a producer on the latter. Her international credits include Baywatch, The Matrix Resurrections, and Love Again.
Before transitioning globally, Priyanka built a successful Bollywood career with films such as Aitraaz, Krrish, Dostana, Kaminey, Barfi! and Bajirao Mastani. She shifted focus to international projects after Jai Gangaajal and is now set to return to Indian cinema.
She will next be seen in filmmaker S S Rajamouli’s upcoming epic Varanasi, following the success of RRR. The film also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Priyanka plays a mysterious character named Mandakini, while Mahesh Babu portrays Rudhra and Prithviraj appears as the antagonist Kumbha. The film is slated for release in 2027.
