The Jahangirnagar University (JU) administration has imposed four conditions for vehicle movement on campus. It warned that drivers and vehicle owners will face legal action if they violate the directives or cause accidents due to reckless driving.

The directives were issued on Monday  in an urgent notice signed by the university’s Acting Registrar, ABM Azizur Rahman.

According to the notice, all vehicles operating on internal campus roads must maintain a tolerable speed, have a valid registration certificate, and be driven by someone holding an updated and valid driving licence. Drivers or vehicle owners will be held fully responsible if an accident occurs due to excessive speed, with offenders facing legal action under prevailing laws.

The administration urged teachers, students, officers and employees to properly follow the directives to ensure safety and overall security on campus.
