City University students received practical training on financial literacy, smart money management, savings discipline, banking awareness and financial inclusion at a seminar organised by Prime Bank PLC under its PrimeAcademia initiative.
The seminar, titled “Financial Inclusion: Engaging and Inspiring Youth in Banking”, was held in collaboration with the university’s Department of Business Administration recently, said a press release on Saturday.
Prime Bank Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Inclusion and School Banking M M Mahbub Hasan delivered the keynote on financial literacy and smart money management. He covered developing healthy financial habits, managing income and expenses, building savings discipline and preparing for long-term financial well-being.
He also highlighted Prime Bank’s 31-year journey and linked the evolution of banking services to the changing expectations of the younger generation.
Prime Bank EVP and Head of Islami Banking Syed Murtaza Hassan also spoke on banking awareness, savings culture and financial inclusion.
City University VC Md Lutfor Rahman attended the programme as chief guest while its Pro VC Kazi Shahdat Kabir attended along with other faculty members and students.
The sessions covered earning, spending, saving, investing and managing money responsibly, the press release added.
