Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has congratulated Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman on his election as President of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
In a post on his verified Facebook account after the results were announced, the prime minister said, “Many congratulations to our Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman for being elected as the President of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.”
“This achievement reflects Bangladesh’s growing contribution and credibility on the world stage,” he added.
“We believe that he will represent Bangladesh with pride and build bridges, dialogue and cooperation to address multidimensional shared challenges,” the Prime Minister said.
“We wish him success in this new responsibility,” Tarique Rahman concluded.
