Member of Parliament from the Barguna-2 constituency, Nurul Islam Moni, has been appointed as the chief whip of the 13th national parliament.
This information was conveyed in a notification issued on Monday by the Human Resources Branch of the National Parliament Secretariat.
Additionally, six other MPs have been appointed as Whips.
The newly appointed Whips are Habiganj-3 MP GK Gaush , Khulna-3’s Rakibul Islam Bokul, Shariatpur-3’s Mia Nuruddin Ahammad Opu, MP from Natore-2 Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, MP from Dinajpur-4 Akhtaruzzaman Mia, and MP from Lakshmipur-4 Ashraf Uddin Nizan.
The National Parliament Secretariat stated that the appointments take effect immediately by order of the president. The newly appointed chief whip and whips are expected to be sworn in on Tuesday.
