East West University Investment and Finance Club has announced the return of its inter-university real-time trading competition NeXTor 2.0 with the tagline “Dive into the thrill of real-time investment.”
The competition aims to familiarise undergraduate students across Bangladesh with the practical dynamics of the stock market and encourage them to begin their investment journey early, said the press release.
NeXTor 2.0 will run through four workshops and four competitive rounds, combining academic knowledge with practical experience. The workshops will begin on 30 October with a session on basic investment knowledge.
The opening round will challenge participants through case analysis, followed by workshops two and three focusing on portfolio construction and workshop four explaining market trading mechanisms, said the press release.
Teams advancing from the early stage will be provided with a BO account and Tk 15,000 real trading capital to develop their portfolios during live market hours.
The Grand Finale is scheduled for 14 December followed by the closing and prize-giving ceremony, offering participants a platform to experience actual market conditions and decision-making under pressure, said the press release.
The total prize pool is Tk 2,05,000. The champion team will receive Tk 50,000, the first runner-up Tk 30,000 and the second runner-up Tk 20,000.
Finalists will also receive certificates, crests, pre-funded BO accounts, internship opportunities, free skill-development courses and gift vouchers to support their continuous learning, said the press release.
