Nagad, the country’s popular mobile financial service, organised a vibrant on-ground activation for students at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in the capital on Thursday.
The event was a key feature of Nagad’s month-long campaign, “Quiz-e Recharge-e Khela Hobe Nagad-e,” designed for football enthusiasts during the world cup.
National football team star Shekh Morsalin joined the festivities, participating in football-based quizzes and fun challenges with the students. The event reached its peak when Morsalin handed over the day’s grand prize – a PlayStation-5 (PS5) gaming console – to the winner, Md Sakibul Islam, an IT engineer from Banasree, read a press release.
Under the campaign, Nagad is offering PS5s and other attractive gifts to fans who perform a mobile recharge of Tk50 or more via their Nagad wallet.
Upon receiving the prize, a thrilled Sakibul Islam said, “I cannot express in words how happy I am today. Having a PS5 has been a long-cherished dream of mine, and I never imagined it would come true like this”.
Speaking at the IUB campus, Shekh Morsalin said the campaign’s biggest attraction is the opportunity for fans to watch Bangladesh National Football Team play live abroad by taking part in quizzes. “The way Nagad is providing fans with this incredible opportunity to support us is truly commendable,” he added.
To further engage the youth, Nagad has launched a month-long campus activation using branded caravans across leading universities and colleges nationwide.
These activities, featuring popular sports influencers, involve students in foosball and PlayStation-5 gaming. Throughout the campaign, participants have the chance to win prizes including mini footballs, Nagad-branded jerseys, and wristbands.
