The 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Midland Bank PLC (MDB) was held on Wednesday through a hybrid system, combining the physical presence of shareholders at the BN Sagorika Hall, Naval Headquarters in Dhaka, with participation through a digital AGM platform.
The bank’s Chairman, Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, presided over the AGM, reads a press release.
Also present were Rezaul Karim, chairman of the Executive Committee; Riaz Ahmed Choudhury, independent director and chairman of the Audit Committee; Hafizur Rahman Sarker, director; and Alhaj Mohammed Helal Miah, director.
A large number of general and institutional shareholders attended the meeting physically, while others joined through the digital AGM platform.
Directors, including independent directors, sponsors, auditors, and the independent scrutiniser, also participated in the meeting.
Among the senior management present were Imtiaz U Ahmed, managing director and CEO; Md Zahid Hossain, deputy managing director and chief risk officer (CRO); Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar, deputy managing director and chief technology officer (CTO); Ashiul Islam, ACS, deputy company secretary; and Didarul Islam, chief financial officer (CFO).
At the AGM, shareholders approved a 3 per cent cash dividend and a 3 per cent stock dividend for the year 2025.
The audited financial statements as of 31 December, 2025 were also adopted, along with other agenda items placed before the meeting.
