Pubali Bank PLC has proposed doubling its authorised capital to Tk4,000 crore from Tk2,000 crore, subject to approval from shareholders and Bangladesh Bank.
The decision was taken at the bank’s 1,533rd board meeting held on 9 September 2026, according to a disclosure published on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.
Under the proposal, the bank’s authorised capital will increase from Tk2,000 crore, divided into 200 crore ordinary shares of Tk10 each, to Tk4,000 crore, divided into 400 crore ordinary shares of Tk10 each.
The bank will seek shareholders’ approval to amend the relevant provisions of its Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association to reflect the increase in authorised capital.
To approve the proposals, Pubali Bank will hold its seventh Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) virtually on 25 October at 11:00am through a digital platform.
The record date for participation in the EGM has been set for 29 September 2026.
Shares of Pubali Bank, with a face value of Tk10, closed unchanged at Tk37.70 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday.
