City Bank PLC has reported a 20 per cent increase in its third-quarter (Q3) profit, with its consolidated Profit after Tax reaching Tk867.38 crore for the period from January to September 2026. This is up from Tk722.19 crore in the same period last year.
The bank’s consolidated Earnings Per Share (EPS) rose to Tk4.96 from Tk4.13 (diluted) previously.
The figures were presented at the bank’s Earnings Disclosure webcast event held digitally on Wednesday, which was attended by existing and potential investors, researchers, analysts and other individuals involved in the capital market across the globe, said a press release.
City Bank Additional Managing Director and CFO Md Mahbubur Rahman presented the Q3 2026 financial performance. The bank Managing Director and CEO Mashrur Arefin delivered a speech discussing the bank’s current and future strategies. City Bank DMD and Head of Wholesale Banking Mesbaul Asif Siddiqui and Chief Risk Officer Mohammad Firoz Alam were also present.
A question-and-answer session followed the presentations, where participants’ queries were addressed by the bank’s management.
