Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) PLC Chairman Mohammed Nurul Amin has directed officials to prioritise disbursement of loans for women entrepreneurs under the CMSME category, laying special emphasis on the successful implementation of Bangla QR for Transactions in building a cashless Bangladesh.
He underscored the extensive contribution and far-reaching role of school banking in financial inclusion, and called on officials and staff at all levels to work towards effective implementation of strategic planning from bank management.
He gave the directions while delivering the keynote address as chief guest at the daylong Divisional Conference-2026 of BKB’s Mymensingh Division on Friday at Advocate Tareq Memorial Auditorium, Town Hall Muktomancha. He described BKB’s initiative of transparent loan disbursement as commendable, said a press release on Saturday.
Mymensingh Division General Manager Zamil Ahmed chaired the conference. BKB Deputy Managing Director Md Abdur Rahim and Bangladesh Bank Mymensingh office Director Joydev Chandra Banik attended as special guests, along with Additional Divisional Commissioner John Kennedy Jambil and Additional DC (General) Reza Md Golam Masum.
General Managers from the bank’s head office, the Board Secretary and the Deputy General Manager of the SME department were present as special guests. The Divisional Audit Officer, all Chief Regional Managers, Regional Audit Officers, and all branch managers, second officers and field officers, along with concerned officials, attended the conference.
