After 10 years, director Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raz, lyricist Mahmud Manjur and music director Arefin Rumi have reunited for a new song titled ‘Eita Amaderi Golpo’.
Following the 2013 Channel 9 series ‘Idiots’, Mahmud Manjur returns to television music with the title song for Raz’s upcoming mega-serial Eita Amaderi Golpo (This Is Our Story).
The track, composed, sung and arranged by Arefin Rumi, and featuring Dola as co-vocalist, is now streaming on major global platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
This return marks the rekindling of a creative partnership that began in 2010 with Raz’s film ‘Chhaya-Chhobi’, starring Arifin Shuvoo and Purnima. The film’s track ‘Poth Jana Nei’ became a major hit, marking the start of their successful collaboration.
Over the years, the Raz–Manjur–Rumi trio has delivered several memorable songs for Raz’s projects, including TV series ‘Bachelors: The Family’ and ‘Idiots’, as well as feature films ‘Taarkata’ and ‘Jodi Ekdin’. Although they have worked together intermittently, it has taken a full decade for them to reunite on a TV series title track.
Director Raz shared that the official music video will be released ahead of the show’s premiere, while the audio version has already received positive listener feedback.
Reflecting on their enduring partnership, Arefin Rumi said, “Every song that Raj Kaka, Manjur Mama and I have made together has turned out to be a hit. From Poth Jana Nei to Eita Amaderi Golpo, it feels wonderful to see this creative continuity.”
Lyricist Mahmud Manjur added, “Raj Kaka and Rumi Mama have always been blessings in my musical journey. Even when we work from afar, our chemistry remains effortless. After 12 years, I’m thrilled to return to television music with them and I hope both the song and the series resonate with the audience.”
Raz noted that Eita Amaderi Golpo has already drawn strong response on streaming platforms and expects its popularity to grow once the series airs, as the song will play a recurring role in the show’s narrative.
