Actor Siam Mridha is set to fulfil his long-held dream of working in films, with four projects scheduled to begin production from October.
Siam said he has signed agreements with four production companies, including Jazz Multimedia. One of the films is titled Janowar, while another is Holud Shari. The titles of the remaining two projects have not yet been finalised.
Siam originally entered the entertainment industry hoping to work in films. He was once set to act in a film directed by late filmmaker Sohanur Rahman Sohan, but the project did not move forward after the director’s death.
Siam then turned to television dramas and has since appeared in several popular productions.
“I came to the industry mainly to act in films. But things did not go as planned, and I became busy with television dramas. Shabnur madam brought me into the film world with a dream, and she never gave up hope in me,” Siam said.
He said he is currently preparing himself for his film projects and plans to tell Shabnur about his progress once production begins.
Among Siam’s notable dramas this year are Buker Pashe, Bosher Preme, Tomar Opekkhay and Kanamachhi. He has frequently appeared alongside Jeba Jannat, Shayla Sathi, Kamrunnahar Hasi and Mihi.
