Two unidentified men have died on the premises of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH. The individuals found on the hospital grounds were aged approximately 50 and 60 years.
Police recovered the two bodies from separate locations within the DMCH campus at different times on Tuesday and sent them to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Dhaka Medical Police Camp In-Charge Inspector Md Habibur Rahman said that an unidentified man aged around 60 was found dead behind the doctors’ canteen, adjacent to the hospital’s new building, at around noon. Judging by his clothing, police suspect he was a vagrant.
Earlier that day, at approximately 11am, a 50-year-old man was found lying dead in front of the hospital’s emergency department. Upon being notified, a team from Shahbagh Police Station recovered the body and sent it to the morgue.
Shahbagh Police Station is overseeing the legal procedures regarding the bodies. Meanwhile, a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) forensic team is working to verify their identities.
