Lindsay Lohan is reuniting with ‘Mean Girls’ and ‘Freaky Friday’ director Mark Waters for Netflix’s upcoming film ‘Return to You,’ writes People.
Set in 2008, the Y2K-era movie stars Lohan alongside ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ actor Henry Golding.
The story follows a lonely attorney who receives a DVD from a dying woman addressed to her husband. Guided by clues on the disc, she sets out to find the woman’s spouse.
Lohan will also serve as a producer, with Eric Champnella writing the screenplay. Brad Krevoy will produce, while Olivia Krevoy, Jimmy Townsend and Galen Fletcher will serve as executive producers.
Lohan and Waters first worked together on ‘Freaky Friday’ in 2003 before reuniting for ‘Mean Girls’ in 2004. Waters has since directed several Netflix films, while Lohan has starred in the streamer’s ‘Falling for Christmas’, ‘Irish Wish’ and ‘Our Little Secret’.
