The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased for consumers, with a 12-kilogram cylinder now costing Tk1,253 for December, up by Tk38 from the previous rate.
In addition, the price of autogas has also been adjusted, rising from Tk55.58 per litre to Tk57.32.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new price on Tuesday, stating it will take effect from 6pm the same day.
BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed said the new increase follows the previous adjustment on 2 November, when the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder was reduced by Tk26 to Tk1,215.
The commission cited market conditions as the basis for the current price hike, noting that it reflects changes in global fuel costs and domestic supply considerations.
