Bangladeshi industrial conglomerate SR Group has signed a Tk100 crore joint investment agreement with Chinese chemical producer Puyang Cleanway Chemicals Ltd and other partners from Canada and Germany to set up a trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA) manufacturing plant in Bangladesh.

The project will be implemented through a new joint venture (JV), SR Pacific Chemical Industries Ltd, involving SR Chemical Industries Ltd, Puyang Cleanway Chemicals Ltd, Canada’s Kings Pacific Enterprises Ltd and Germany’s Steinbach Chlorine GmbH, SR Group said in a press release.

The plant will manufacture TCCA, a chemical widely used in water treatment and industrial applications, with commercial production and exports targeted to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
