Florence Pugh has spoken out over allegations surrounding a 2024 sexual assault case involving former students of Cornell University.
According to Variety, a former student, identified as Jane Doe, has sued Cornell and seven former Chi Phi fraternity members, alleging that she was drugged and sexually assaulted at a fraternity house in October 2024.
New York prosecutors have since reopened the criminal investigation and are considering presenting the case to a grand jury.
Pugh described the allegations as a “horrific act” and called for men to speak out against sexual violence. She also questioned how institutions respond to such cases and urged greater accountability.
The actress later said Instagram appeared to have restricted access to her post before it became available again.
Cornell has said it conducted a separate Title IX investigation that resulted in expulsions and suspensions, while the university has expressed support for the renewed criminal investigation.
