Chanchal Chowdhury’s first look in the upcoming web series ‘Chaalchitro: The Ekchala Murders’ has been unveiled, offering a glimpse of his mysterious character in filmmaker Pratim D Gupta’s cop universe.
The first-look image shows Chanchal staring intensely, with visible bruises on his face. Although the actor had earlier confirmed his involvement in the project, he had kept details of his role under wraps.
The Hoichoi series will premiere in December as part of the platform’s Season 10 line-up. It will serve as a prequel to the 2024 film ‘Chaalchitro: The Frame Fatale’.
Tota Roy Chowdhury will reprise his role as Kanishka Chatterjee, while Anirban Chakrabarti returns as Naseer Rehman.
Director Pratim D Gupta described the project as a homecoming, marking his return to a fictional world he created 14 years ago. He said the prequel would explore the origins of the story and characters that audiences embraced in the earlier film.
