Rajinikanth surprised fans in Mysuru when he arrived at the ‘Dharman’ shooting set in an auto rickshaw, writes Hindustan Times.
Videos circulating on social media show the actor’s security team accompanying the vehicle as fans waited outside the location.
Rajinikanth waved to the crowd before entering the set. He later stepped out in a maroon shirt and veshti to greet fans, who gathered with children and recreated his famous gesture from ‘Baba’.
The action film is being directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and stars Rajinikanth alongside Simran, Raashii Khanna and Yogi Babu.
There is also speculation that Telugu actors Ram Pothineni and Sreeleela may have joined the cast after their appearances in leaked set footage.
A photo featuring Ram, Raashii and Rajinikanth also briefly appeared online before being deleted. The filmmakers have not confirmed their involvement.
Produced by Kamal Haasan, the film’s first look features Rajinikanth as a doctor holding a bloodied scalpel.
