Model, actress and dancer Sadia Islam Mou has completed work on a new drama, drawn to the project by its distinctive story and character.
Mou said she always tries to choose good stories and take on diverse roles that allow her to present herself differently. She is hopeful that audiences will also connect with her latest work once it airs.
Titled ‘Shankha Sokal Prokriti’, the drama is based on a novel by celebrated writer Rabeya Khatun. Arun Chowdhury wrote the screenplay and directed the production. Filming recently wrapped at various locations in Uttara, Dhaka.
The drama was produced to mark Channel i’s 28th anniversary and will be aired soon.
Ahsan Habib Nasim and Golam Kibria Tanvir play two important characters, while Farzana Chumki appears in a special role. According to the director and cast, the story explores moral values within a family setting.
Tanvir said working opposite Mou was a memorable experience because he grew up watching her performances.
Nasim, who has previously worked with director Arun Chowdhury, praised the director’s refined approach and said the drama carries a meaningful moral message.
