The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain in various parts of the country within the next 24 hours, starting at 9am on Thursday.
According to a regular bulletin, light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely to occur in several areas across Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. One or two places in Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions may also experience similar weather, with moderate to heavy rainfall in some locations.
Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged throughout the country.
The monsoon trough runs through East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Assam, passing across the southern part of Bangladesh.
Currently, the monsoon is less active over Bangladesh, while weak to moderate conditions prevail over the North Bay.
