Four members of a family who were killed brutally in Raipur municipality of Lakshmipur were buried Friday night in their native village in Cumilla’s Homna upazila.
Their namaz-e-janaza was held around 10pm at Lotia Eidgah in Homna municipality, followed by burial in four adjacent graves at the local cemetery.
The family’s only surviving child, Md Sifat, was left alone after the killings. He escaped death as he was outside the home during the incident.
Sifat brought the bodies of his mother and sisters to Homna himself. Relatives and locals arranged the funeral and burial after the bodies reached the village.
After the janaza, Advocate Azizur Rahman Molla said those involved in the killings must be brought to justice. He also pledged full support to ensure Sifat’s safety and a normal life.
