‘KGF’ actor Mangaluru Dinesh passes away at 63

Kannada actor Mangaluru Dinesh, best known for his role as gold smuggler Shetty in the ‘KGF’ franchise, passed away at a hospital in Kundapura this morning, reports India Today. He was 63.

Dinesh began his career in theatre before moving into films as an assistant director. He later worked as an art director on around 200 films, according to director and close associate P. Seshadri, who remembered him as “a very cheerful and humorous person. His death is very sad.”

As an actor, Dinesh appeared in several films, including ‘Ulidvaru Khandante’, ‘Kirik Party’, ‘Ricky’, ‘Atithi’ and ‘Aa Dinagalu’. 

In recent years, he lived in Kodachadri, where he ran a small farm and faced health issues. He is survived by his wife and two children.
