Popular content creator, actress and screenwriter Kaarina Kaisar remains in critical condition on life support as her family seeks to take her abroad for advanced medical treatment, according to her father, former national footballer Kaisar Hamid.
Kaarina has been on life support since Friday night, and her condition remained unchanged as of Sunday.
Speaking to Prothom Alo on Sunday morning, Kaisar Hamid said he visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an effort to expedite his daughter’s visa process.
“I came here so that my daughter’s visa can be processed quickly. I will request the honourable Minister to look into the matter. We do not have much time in hand, and we want to take her abroad as soon as possible,” he said.
Regarding her latest condition, he said doctors had informed the family that complications had increased and multiple medical support systems were being used to stabilise her condition.
“Heavy monitoring and necessary treatment are ongoing. At one point, her blood pressure also dropped,” he added.
Earlier on Saturday, Kaisar Hamid revealed that Kaarina had been suffering from fatty liver complications. As her physical condition deteriorated over the past few days, she was admitted to hospital, where doctors later detected an infection and diagnosed her with Hepatitis A. She was subsequently placed on life support on Friday night after her condition worsened further.
Alongside acting, Kaarina has also earned recognition as a screenwriter. Her notable works include the Internship and 36-24-36 series for Chorki.
