The Jatiya Party (JP) has officially announced its support for the BNP candidate in the Jhalokathi-2 constituency for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The decision was disclosed in a press release issued on Monday, signed by the Jatiya Party’s district unit President, Anwar Hossain Anu, and General Secretary, Mahbubur Rahman.

According to the statement, as the Jatiya Party does not have a candidate of its own in this constituency, the decision to support BNP nominee Israt Sultana Elen Bhutto was made based on the opinions of members from the party and its associate organisations.
