Pakistani actor Mahira Khan has announced that she is expecting her second child while attending the Toronto International Film Festival 2026, writes NDTV.
The 41-year-old actor shared the news on social media with a photo showing her baby bump.
Wearing a flowing white gown, Mahira smiled at the camera while placing one hand on her bump.
She captioned the post, “We make plans and then there is ALLAH’S plan.”
Mahira is currently in Toronto for TIFF, where she moderated a conversation as part of the festival’s Community Impact programming. She was also honoured for her contribution to cinema during the event.
Her appearance at TIFF comes nearly a decade after she made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees in 2016.
The pregnancy announcement comes nearly three years after Mahira married businessman Salim Karim in October 2023.
The baby will be the couple’s first child together and Mahira’s second.
Mahira is already the mother of 17-year-old Azlan, whom she shares with her former husband Ali Askari.
Azlan also played an important role in Mahira’s second wedding. He stood beside his mother during the ceremony and walked her down the aisle.
On the work front, Mahira was last seen in Aag Lagay Basti Mein, directed by Bilal Atif Khan.
The Pakistani Urdu-language film stars Fahad Mustafa in the lead role, alongside Jawed Sheikh, Tabish Hashmi, Salahuddin Tunio, Ali Abdullah, Samra Shehzadi and Hafiz Raza Ahmed.
