Janata Bank PLC discussed the recovery of classified and defaulted loans alongside other operational issues at its 885th board meeting held on Thursday.
Janata Bank Chairman Mohammad Fazlur Rahman presided over the meeting, according to a press release.
Board directors attending the meeting included Badr-e Munir Ferdous, Md Abdus Sabur, Abdul Majid Sheikh, Abdul Awal Sarkar, Dr Md Shahadat Hossain, Md Ahsan Kabir, Md Kausar Alam and Professor AA Mahbub Uddin Chowdhury.
Janata Bank Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman and Deputy Managing Directors Kazi Abdur Rahman and Md Fayez Alam were also present.
The board reviewed several operational issues, with discussions focusing on classified loan recovery and other banking activities as part of the bank’s ongoing management and business oversight process.
