Less than five years after the birth of her first child, film actress Shabnam Yasmin Bubly is once again rumored to be expecting—a speculation that has now become the talk of the film industry. While she has not publicly denied the claim, she has also stopped short of confirming it. Her cryptic responses and continued silence have only fueled the rumors.
Sources say Bubly is currently around five months pregnant. She is reportedly preparing to travel to the US at the start of Ramadan to give birth to her second child. Her first child was also born there. As a result, the actress is gradually stepping away from film work for the time being. Due to her pregnancy, she has not been able to give shooting dates for the second schedule of the film Dhakaiya Devdas. According to production sources, plans are being made to continue shooting the remaining portions of the film without her.
Many have claimed that Bubly’s recent public appearances, particularly her choice of clothing and mannerisms, reveal a visible baby bump. Several of her close associates and co-actors have also reportedly confirmed the news. However, Bubly has remained characteristically silent on the matter. Attempts to contact her for comment were unsuccessful.
It is also known that Bubly and Shakib Khan grew closer last year, centering around their son, Bir. Although Shakib Khan has claimed that they are divorced, sources close to both of them insist that the divorce has not actually taken place.
Shakib Khan has also chosen not to comment on the issue. He is currently busy with his Eid release, Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka. He has reportedly not discussed the matter much, even with people close to him. It is unclear whether he will travel to the United States, though he is scheduled to go to India this week for the film’s shooting.
It may be recalled that on March 21, 2020, Bubly gave birth to her first son, Shehzad Khan Bir, in the US. At that time as well, she stayed out of the public eye for a long period, giving rise to widespread speculation. This time, too, she appears to be following the same familiar path. At present, Bubly’s film Pinik is awaiting release, and she was last seen on screen in Jongli.
