The long-awaited concert of Pakistani band Kaavish, which was postponed for security reasons, is finally set to take place in Dhaka on 26 September.

After nearly 10 months of waiting, the concert will bring Kaavish to the stage alongside two popular Bangladeshi bands, Shironamhin and Meghdol.

Organiser Prime Wave Communication announced the new date on its official Facebook page last Saturday, 12 September. The event was previously titled ‘Wave Fest: Feel This Winter’. It has now been renamed ‘Wave Fest: Enjoy the Full Moon’.

However, the organisers have not disclosed the venue yet due to security concerns.

According to the organisers, those who bought advance tickets for last year’s concert can use the same tickets for the rescheduled event. New tickets are also available through the online platform Ticketify. General tickets cost Tk2,999, while VIP tickets are priced at Tk5,499.

The concert featuring Kaavish, Shironamhin and Meghdol was originally scheduled for December 5 last year. However, the event was postponed at the last moment after the organisers failed to obtain the necessary permission amid the country’s overall situation at the time.

Kaavish fans have been waiting for the concert ever since. The announcement of the new date is finally set to end that long wait.

Jaffer Zaidi and Maaz Maudood formed Kavish in 1998. The band first performed in Bangladesh in January 2025 and quickly gained popularity among local listeners.

Some of Kaavish’s popular songs include ‘Bachpan’, ‘Tere Pyar Mein’, ‘More Saiyaan’, ‘Neendia Re’ and ‘Faasle’.

Bangladeshi bands Meghdol and Shironamhin will also perform at the concert.
