Seven of Bangladesh’s popular bands will share the stage at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka on 7 November, as the Ministry of Cultural Affairs organises a free concert to mark National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
Titled ‘Concert for Solidarity’, the event will feature Nagarbaul, Warfaze, Miles, Shironamhin, Artcell, Mechanix and Feedback. Organisers expect the seven-hour programme to bring music fans together for a day of live performances.
Gates will open at 3pm, with the concert scheduled to begin at 4pm. Admission will be free and open to the public.
The concert comes at a time when large open-air music events in Bangladesh have become less frequent.
Security concerns have led to the cancellation of several programmes over the past two years, making this gathering a notable occasion for live music enthusiasts.
Warfaze announced the event with a message highlighting its spirit of unity and togetherness.
“One city, one stage, seven iconic musical performances, a unique spirit of unity and solidarity,” the band said, inviting audiences to Manik Mia Avenue to celebrate harmony and goodwill through music.
With seven established bands on one stage, ‘Concert for Solidarity’ is expected to draw music lovers from across the capital and beyond.
