During a school lunch break, Niloy and Shuvo try to escape by climbing over a wall with their bags. Just then, Sakib, the school’s top student, confronts them and accuses them of skipping classes. He boasts that he will become a senior officer one day, while the two will spend their lives delivering company goods from one place to another.
Niloy looks at Sakib’s palm and tells him that the lines suggest he will indeed become an officer, but Niloy himself will become his boss.
Twenty years later, Sakib is driving to work when he spots Niloy and Shuvo unloading goods from a pickup van. He stops his car in front of Niloy and declares that his own prediction has come true, while Niloy’s has failed. Desperate for a better job, Niloy pleads with Sakib, who tells him to meet him at a five-star hotel that night.
When Niloy arrives, Sakib introduces him to his own boss, claiming that Niloy can predict the future by reading palms. Although this is untrue, Sakib makes the claim to impress his superior. When the boss extends his hand, Niloy makes up a prediction after examining his palm. By coincidence, it comes true, delighting the boss, who hires Niloy at his office.
Using his wit and a series of clever tactics, Niloy continues to impress his boss and secures rapid promotions. Eventually, he gains control of the entire office.
The story forms the basis of the drama ‘Magic Boss’, written by Pappu Raj and directed by Mehedi Rony. Niloy Alamgir and Himi play the lead roles.
The drama will air on Maasranga Television at 10.30PM on Friday (6 November).
