The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) conducted a training programme on statutory reporting and RJSC e-filing at its premises in Dhaka on June 20, aiming to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of members, students, corporate officials and other professionals.
The programme, titled “Mastery of Statutory Reporting & RJSC E-Filing”, focused on compliance requirements under the RJSC framework and the Companies Act 1994, including amendments up to 2020, the institute said in a press release.
Md Shabbirul Alam Chowdhury, Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of ICSB, delivered the welcome speech.
Md Mizanur Rahman FCS, Treasurer of ICSB, inaugurated the training session and thanked participants for attending what he described as a timely programme.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun FCS, Training Coordinator and Council Member of ICSB, introduced the resource persons and outlined the objectives of the training.
The programme was moderated by Mehedee Hasan, Director of Training at ICSB.
The technical sessions were conducted by Md Harun-Or-Rashid, Deputy Registrar of the RJSC; Md Rokib Ahmad Rony, Deputy Registrar of the RJSC; Shahedul Azam, Assistant Registrar of the RJSC; and ASM Sakib Sikder, Barrister-at-Law, Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Managing Partner of Jural Acuity.
The resource persons provided an in-depth overview of statutory reporting and RJSC e-filing processes, with discussions covering the RJSC and the Companies Act 1994, company registration for one person companies, private limited companies and public limited companies, RJSC return submission, and particulars of mortgages or charges.
The session also included an interactive discussion, where participants raised questions about practical challenges in statutory reporting and e-filing. The resource persons responded to the issues and shared guidance on compliance-related procedures.
A large number of ICSB members, students, senior officials from leading corporate houses and professionals from different sectors attended the training programme.
At the end of the session, Md Rafiqul Islam FCS, Senior Vice President and President In-Charge of ICSB, handed over certificates to the participants.
Md Sharif Hasan FCS, Vice President of ICSB, delivered the concluding remarks.
ICSB said the training formed part of its continuing effort to build professional capacity in corporate compliance, statutory reporting and digital filing practices linked to the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms.
