The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) Khulna Branch has elected Professor Sheikh Ziaul Islam as chairman of its branch council for 2026.
The election was held at a meeting of the Khulna branch council on Friday at CMA Bhaban in Khulna, presided over by outgoing Chairman Azizur Rahman, according to a press release from the ICMAB.
Md Habibur Rahman Sheikh has been elected as vice chairman, Abdul Motaleb as secretary and Md Asaduzzaman as treasurer.
Professor Islam is serving as principal of the Government Prafulla Chandra College and is a fellow member of the ICMAB.
He previously served the Khulna branch council as chairman, secretary and treasurer.
Vice-Chairman Sheikh is serving as assistant general manager of Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank.
Secretary Motaleb is working as deputy managing director of 3F Associates Limited.
Treasurer Asaduzzaman is serving as principal and CEO of Asad and Co.
