Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikobad) has stated that agencies providing good and proper services to Hajj pilgrims will be rewarded while those who cause hardship to pilgrims will have to face punishment.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at a discussion meeting, prayer, and iftar gathering organised by the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAB) held at the Police Convention Hall in Ramna, Dhaka, on Saturday afternoon.

The Religious Affairs minister said that Hajj pilgrims are the guests of Allah and they must be provided with the best possible services. No injustice can be done to them, he added.

Describing himself as a servant, Kaikobad said, “As a servant, I will continue trying to serve you for the pleasure of Allah. I will strive to work not for your satisfaction, but for the pleasure of Allah. Whatever responsibility Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has entrusted me with, I will continue trying to fulfill that duty for the pleasure of Allah.”

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam (Rita) delivered a speech as a special guest via video link at the event, which was presided over by HAB President Syed Golam Sarwar. Among others, acting secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Md Ayatul Islam and HAB General Secretary Farid Ahmed Majumder also spoke at the event.
