A new drama titled ‘Happy Divorce’ has been produced for the upcoming Eid celebrations. Directed by Tapu Khan, the screenplay was written by Limon Ahmed based on a story by Tune Tehrin. The drama stars Farhan Ahmed Jovan and Keya Payel as a married couple.

Other actors appearing in the drama include Subrata, Shamima Nazneen, Rozi Siddique, Sampathi Masuk and Tahmeena Sultana Mou in supporting roles.

Happy Divorce centres on a couple with a child, exploring the pressures, expectations and emotions from both families. Jovan’s parents are eager to see their grandchildren, while Keya’s family offers a contrasting perspective on the situation. The story blends humour with family tensions and contemporary social realities.

According to the producer, filming was completed last week, and the drama is set to be released on YouTube during Eid.

Farhan Ahmed Jovan said, “I played the role of the husband with Payel as my wife. The drama focuses on the pressure families place on couples to have children. The story presents reality with humour. Our work will feel worthwhile if the audience enjoys it.”

Keya Payel added, “It will be an enjoyable drama for the audience this Eid. The story is unique, and working with senior artists has been a great experience.”

Rozi Siddiqui noted that director Tapu Khan handled the project with care, while Sampathi Masuk commented that dramas with large ensemble casts are rare nowadays. Tahmeena Sultana Mou said she enjoyed collaborating with the team after a long time.
The cast and crew hope that Happy Divorce will offer audiences a refreshing Eid experience, combining family drama, humour and contemporary themes.
