The government has sent nine inspectors of Bangladesh Police into compulsory retirement after they completed 25 years of service.
The information was disclosed in a notification signed by Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nasimul Ghani, on Monday.
The police inspectors sent on compulsory retirement are: KM Azizul Islam of APBn Police; Md Abdur Rashid of CID; Md Jamal Uddin Mir of the Development Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police; Akbar Ali Khan of Sardah Police; Md Sirajul Haque Sheikh of the In-Service Training Centre in Gaibandha; Mir Zahedul Haque Rony of MRT Police; Md Asikuzzaman of 5 APBn; Azizur Rahman of the Chakaria Circle Office in Cox’s Bazar; and Md Aslam Hossain of the In-Service Training Centre in Jhenaidah.
The notification stated that, in accordance with Section 45 of the Government Service Rules 2018, they have been sent into retirement upon completion of 25 years of service. They will receive retirement benefits as per regulations.
