German Ambassador to Bangladesh Rudiger Lotz has assured necessary cooperation from Germany to expand higher education and develop skills during a meeting with National University (NU) Vice-Chancellor ASM Amanullah at the German Embassy in Dhaka on Monday.
Lotz praised National University’s educational programmes and assured cooperation from Germany, said a press release.
Amanullah said NU is placing special emphasis on technical and quality education to transform the country’s large youth population into skilled manpower.
“Joint academic programmes, teacher-student exchange programmes and mutual cooperation in advanced research with German universities will play an important role in making Bangladeshi students skilled in a global context,” he said.
The meeting also discussed possibilities for academic and research collaboration with German universities.
German Embassy First Secretary for Political, Press and Cultural Section Monika Reuter and National University International Desk Director Raj Bin Kasem were also present at the visit.
