The original FIFA World Cup Trophy will arrive in Bangladesh on 14 January 2026 as part of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, offering football fans a rare opportunity to see the sport’s most coveted prize up close.
The announcement came in a press release issued by The Coca-Cola Company on Thursday.
The tour will give Bangladeshi fans the chance to experience the original FIFA World Cup Trophy ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States.
“We are excited to bring fans closer to the heart of the action with the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola,” said The Coca-Cola Company Vice President of Global Assets, Influencers and Partnerships Mickael Vinet.
He said the tour is designed to build excitement and anticipation by allowing fans to experience the emotions associated with football through the presence of the original trophy in Bangladesh.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 is expected to be the biggest edition of the tournament, featuring more teams, more matches and three host nations for the first time.
As part of its global journey, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will visit 30 FIFA Member Associations, making 75 stops over 150 tour days worldwide.
“The FIFA World Cup Trophy is recognised around the world as the greatest symbol in sport,” said FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai.
He said the partnership with Coca-Cola has united fans globally over two decades and the upcoming tour marks both the 20th anniversary of the Trophy Tour and preparations for the largest FIFA World Cup in history.
Alongside the tour, Coca-Cola has launched an interactive “Under the Cap” promotional campaign, allowing consumers to unlock tickets to view the original trophy and take commemorative photographs.
To participate, fans must purchase one-litre Coca-Cola promotional packs, scan the QR code on the label, submit the unique code found under the cap and correctly answer a FIFA-themed quiz on the Trophy Tour webpage.
The fastest correct participant each hour will instantly win tickets to view the trophy, with the campaign running from 15 November 2025 to 8 January 2026 and allowing winners once every 90 minutes.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will also promote sustainability initiatives in local communities, including packaging collection and recycling, in collaboration with local teams and bottling partners.
Coca-Cola has held an official partnership with FIFA since 1976 and has been an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup since 1978, holding exclusive rights to the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola.
The original FIFA World Cup Trophy, made of solid gold and weighing 6.175 kilograms, remains in FIFA’s possession and can only be touched by a select group including former FIFA World Cup winners, heads of state and the FIFA president.
