Expatriate Bangladeshi entrepreneur Faisal Alam has been appointed as the Europe Coordinator for the New York International Trade Fair & Chamber Expo 2025.
The event will be held on September 26–27, 2025, at the Marriott Marquis, Times Square, New York, USA.
In this role, Alam will be responsible for ensuring strong European participation in the Expo, particularly from companies seeking sourcing opportunities in Bangladesh, according to a press statement.
Alam, founder and CEO of Italy-based MacMart Group Limited, will oversee the mobilization of European delegations, coordinate pavilion bookings, manage advertising, and engage with European companies and chambers. His leadership will be crucial in strengthening the Expo’s global appeal, especially within the European market.
In addition to his Expo duties, Alam is also expected to lead the Italy-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry business delegation.
A letter from the Bangladesh–USA Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the event organisers confirmed Alam’s appointment earlier this week, highlighting his leadership and extensive European network as essential for ensuring successful engagement from the region.
“We are confident that your efforts will help secure strong European representation and further reinforce the Expo’s role as a premier global platform for trade and partnership,” the letter stated.
At the Expo, the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh–USA Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association, and the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services will showcase opportunities in Bangladesh.
