Nazmul Islam, a college student, died after being electrocuted in Nalchity upazila in Jhalakathi. The incident occurred around 9pm on Saturday in Nalchity upazila.
Nazmul, 20, son of Md Shahjahan Howlader, was a student of class XI at Nalchity Government Degree College. According to the victim’s uncle, Md Anichur Rahman, Nazmul was repairing an electric line at his home when he was accidentally electrocuted.
He fell unconscious immediately and was rushed to Nalchity Upazila Health Complex by family members. Doctors at the hospital declared him dead after examinations.
Nalchity Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Ariful Alam said, “We have been informed of the incident and sent police to the scene.”
