As winter ends, nature changes with the breeze of Falgun and rising temperatures. The weather in Dhaka and surrounding areas may remain somewhat dry on Sunday, though no further rise in temperature has been forecast.
According to the five-day forecast issued by Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday, skies over Dhaka and nearby regions may be temporarily partly cloudy.
The forecast suggests that on Saturday a low-pressure system over the equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal had moved to the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean.
It may advance northwestward and intensify. Meanwhile, an extension of the subcontinental high-pressure zone is located over Bihar and adjoining areas.
Under its influence, weather across Bangladesh may remain dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies. Night and day temperatures may rise slightly nationwide.
However, on Monday (23 February), isolated places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions may experience rain or thundershowers. Elsewhere, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies. Night temperatures may rise slightly, while daytime temperatures may drop a little.
On Tuesday (24 February), scattered rain or thundershowers may again occur in Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions, while other regions will likely see dry weather with partly cloudy skies. Night temperatures may fall slightly, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
On Wednesday (25 February), weather across the country is expected to remain dry with partly cloudy skies, with little change in night and day temperatures.
