The Chattogram Education Board has published a revised schedule for the HSC examinations that were postponed due to floods.
According to the new schedule, the suspended written examinations will start on 20 August. The board has also issued necessary instructions for the HSC examinees.
The announcement came in a notice signed by the board’s Exam Controller Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury on Tuesday. The notice stated that the board may change the schedule if required.
According to the revised schedule, the suspended HSC exams under the board will begin with the English (compulsory) second paper.
The Information and Communication Technology exam will be held on 22 August. On 24 August, the first papers of Physics, Accounting, and Logic will take place, and their second papers will follow on 27 August.
The Geography first paper will be held in the morning on 29 August, while the Arabic and Pali first papers will be held in the afternoon. The second papers of these subjects will be held on 31 August.
On 2 September, the first papers of Chemistry, Islamic History and Culture, History, Home Management and Family Life, and Production Management and Marketing will be held, with their second papers scheduled for 5 September.
The Economics first paper and the Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice first paper will be held on 7 September, followed by the second papers of these subjects on 9 September.
The board has instructed that morning shift exams will run from 10am to 1pm, while afternoon shift exams will run from 2pm to 5pm.
Students must be seated at their exam centers at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam. The Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice first paper on 7 September will be conducted at the students’ respective colleges, with question papers collected from the main center at 9am and the exam held under the supervision of college principals.
Practical examinations for all subjects must be completed between 9 and 18 September. Students have been advised to contact their institutions or exam center heads for details regarding the practical exam schedule.
