Community Bank has partnered with Nagad to disburse foreign remittances to beneficiaries through the mobile financial service provider’s network, enabling customers in underserved and remote areas to receive funds more conveniently.
The agreement was signed on Thursday at Community Bank’s head office in Dhaka by Managing Director Mohammed Emtiaz Uddin and Nagad Administrator Motassim Billah, said a press release.
Under the partnership, Community Bank customers can add money directly to their Nagad wallets and transfer funds between bank accounts and Nagad wallets. The partnership will also facilitate smoother customer onboarding and system integration between the two organisations.
Emtiaz Uddin said the partnership would help the bank reach a wider customer base by leveraging Nagad’s digital capabilities, particularly in remittance and digital transactions. Billah said the collaboration would provide easier and faster digital financial services to customers.
