After completing 450 episodes, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’ has come to an end, prompting emotional farewells from producer Ektaa Kapoor and lead actor Smriti Irani, writes Hindustan Times.
The show aired its final episode on 20 October, exceeding its original plan of 167 episodes. Ektaa marked the occasion by sharing an Instagram video featuring moments from the original series and its sequel.
“Some goodbyes are hard but there is love in my heart for Kyuki forever. It’s made me who I am,” she wrote, reflecting on the show’s impact on her life and career.
Smriti, who returned as Tulsi Virani after nearly 17 years away from television, also shared an emotional note. Describing the experience as a “roller coaster of emotions”, she recalled the memories, stories and new beginnings that shaped the journey.
The sequel premiered on Star Plus and JioHotstar on 29 July 2025, bringing back familiar characters, including Amar Upadhyay as Mihir Virani. Its conclusion marks another chapter in the legacy of one of Indian television’s most recognisable family dramas.
