Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport unveiled House of Han, a speciality Chinese restaurant, on Monday, introducing a luxury dining destination built around traditional Chinese cuisine, contemporary presentation and personalised hospitality.
Led by Master Chinese Chef Chen, the restaurant combines time-honoured Chinese cooking techniques with modern culinary craftsmanship, offering a setting for business entertainment, family gatherings and special celebrations, the hotel said in a press release.
The restaurant features 10 private dining rooms designed to offer privacy, comfort and personalised service, particularly for business discussions and private celebrations.
A key attraction is its signature duck dish, with preparation, carving and presentation incorporated into the dining experience.
IHG Southwest Asia Area General Manager and Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and InterContinental Dhaka Cluster General Manager Ashwani Nayar said the restaurant reflected Chef Chen’s culinary vision and the hotel’s emphasis on authentic cuisine and luxury hospitality.
“Our ambition is to bring honest, authentic Chinese cuisine to Dhaka in a setting that is equally luxurious,” Nayar said at the launch.
He said the restaurant’s menu, interiors and service had been designed around a concept he described as “honest luxury”.
Chef Chen said his approach focused on preserving Chinese culinary traditions while introducing his own creativity and attention to detail.
“Chinese cuisine is deeply rooted in heritage, respect for ingredients and techniques passed down through generations,” he said.
He added that his aim was to honour those traditions through carefully prepared dishes that combined authentic flavours with contemporary presentation.
House of Han’s interiors and dining arrangements are designed to complement its culinary offering, with the restaurant placing particular emphasis on craftsmanship, attentive service and the overall dining experience.
