The government has appointed a new divisional commissioner for Rajshahi and new deputy commissioners (DCs) for Natore, Gaibandha and Rangpur districts.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications in this regard on Wednesday night.
Md Yusuf Ali, member-director (additional secretary) of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation, has been appointed as the new divisional commissioner of Rajshahi.
Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary at the Posts and Telecommunications Division Sumoni Akter has been appointed as the new DC of Natore. Dr Md Moniruzzaman, private secretary to the Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, has been appointed DC of Gaibandha, while Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Israt Jahan has been appointed DC of Rangpur.
The appointments came a day after Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Dr ANM Bazlur Rashid was attached to the Ministry of Public Administration for subsequent posting.
The ministry also attached Natore DC Asma Shaheen, Gaibandha DC Mohammad Masudur Rahman Mollah and Rangpur DC Mohammad Ruhul Amin to the Ministry of Public Administration for subsequent posting.
