Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar has revealed that she still regrets passing up a role in Farhan Akhtar’s 2001 film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, which later went to Sonali Kulkarni.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Isha said the role opposite Saif Ali Khan was offered to her, but she had to turn it down because she had already committed to ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat’.

“I regret that decision,” she said, reflecting on the missed opportunity.

Isha also spoke about the importance of making thoughtful career choices and avoiding creative compromises. Having started acting at 16 without a film-industry background, she said she had no one to guide her through important professional decisions.

The actor, known for films such as ‘Company’, ‘Don 2’ and ‘Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi’, also emphasised the need for performers to adapt and explore diverse roles as they grow older.
