BNP has inaugurated Free Wi-Fi Zones for students and the general public across Khulna-3 constituency. Launched under the slogan “Smart Life, Free Wi-Fi,” the initiative aims to provide accessible digital connectivity to the local community.
Under this programme, “Bakul’s Wi-Fi Zone” has been established at six locations spanning the Khalishpur, Daulatpur, and Khan Jahan Ali areas. These zones offer 24-hour high-speed internet access, allowing any user to connect easily without requiring a password, read a press release.
Speaking at the launch, BNP candidate Khulna-3 constituency Alhaj Rakibul Islam Bakul emphasised that the internet is no longer a luxury but a basic necessity for education, employment, and social participation.
He noted that knowledge is no longer confined to traditional libraries, as digital access enables young people to master modern technologies and create earning opportunities through freelancing.
“Free Wi-Fi is a right for everyone, especially the youth. Insha’Allah, our young generation will be the pioneers of the AI era,” Bakul stated.
He further pledged that the service would be expanded gradually to every ward and union within Khulna-3 to ensure that no village, student, or citizen remains digitally excluded.
This initiative forms part of BNP’s long-term social development plan, which seeks to strengthen socio-economic connectivity and contribute to sustainable community development.
Residents have welcomed the move, noting that the free service will significantly assist students, small business owners, and families in accessing education, job opportunities, and government services.
